Understanding and addressing concrete lifecycle emissions

Event details

Date and Time: 12 December 2024 (1:00pm)

Location: Online

Thanks to transitions to cleaner energy, the construction sector has seen significant reductions in its operational carbon emissions. While this is great for the sector’s overall emissions profile, it leaves the emissions associated with construction, maintenance and demolition—the embodied carbon—as the next big challenge to tackle.

What exactly is embodied carbon, and how can all players across the construction value chain align to effectively measure and reduce it? In this webinar, co-hosted by MECLA, our speakers explore current programs and pathways aimed at better understanding and addressing embodied carbon in Australian buildings and infrastructure.
