Could graphene oxide be added to concrete to improve its properties and help reach sustainability goals? To find out, concrete supplier Heidelberg Materials Australia led a research collaboration exploring graphene’s potential in performance concrete for load bearing applications such as beams, columns and road pavements.

Join us on 19 August 2025 to learn more about how their project investigated this new type of concrete. Arun Arunothayan chairs this session with project leaders Sorn Vimonsatit (Macquarie University), Michael Booy (Heidelberg Materials Australia) and Professor Priyan Mendis (University of Melbourne).
