Power Industry By-products in Eco-friendly Concrete
Date and Time: 20 May 2025 (12:30pm)
Location: Online, Teams
While there’s a modest market for fly ash as cement replacement, coal bottom ash is rarely used, with huge quantities ending up in landfill. But what if coal bottom ash could be used to produce concrete for purposes other than road base and subbase, and help solve our nation’s sustainability challenges?
Join us on 20 May 2025 for a conversation about a new project developing coal bottom ash as cement and fine aggregate alternative. Chair Arun Arunothayan will lead the discussion with Ali Onaizi (University of Newcastle), Patrick Tang (University of Newcastle), Anthony Callen (Delta Electricity) and Steve Butterfield (Daracon).
