Transformation all the way.

SmartCrete CRC underwent significant transformation in FY2022-23, attracting and appointing a new leadership team and developing and commencing a revised strategy focusing on industry-led innovation collaboration to drive the transition of concrete for a sustainable Australia.

Highlights include

• Invested $15 million (cash + in-kind) from Commonwealth, industry and universities
• Managed 25 research projects across SmartCrete’s three research streams – Sustainable Concrete, Engineered Solutions, Asset Management
• Launched 15 new projects during the reporting period
• Completed 2 projects in FY2022-23, bringing the total of completed project to 4
• Collaborated with 68 industry, government and research partners across Australia
• Hosted 5 Industry Challenges to uncover pressing industry problems and define research solution pathways
• Welcomed 7 PhD and Masters Students
